Change the route partition for an SCM user

In the CUCM, users are included in a route partition. If you change the partition that a user belongs to, you must also adjust the SCM. This is as simple as deleting the user from SCM, and adding them back in again. SCM only reads the partition information when the user is first created in the SCM.

Here's what to do after you change the CUCM route partition for a user.

  1. Log in as the SCM administrator (Admin Console)
  2. Look for the user, and click their name check their settings. Take a note of their alias and phone type (desk phone and jabber options). Go back to the main Admin Console screen.
  3. Click the red x next to their name and confirm you want to delete them
  4. Click the Add button to bring up a list of users who aren't in the SCM
  5. Find the user, and click the green + symbol to add them
  6. From the main screen, click on the userID to set the alias and phone type
