EMP is a tool to allow flexibility to be introduced into the EM process to allow the CUCM login to more easily integrate into a customer's IT environment.

How it Works

EMP acts as a proxy to the Cisco UCM extension mobility logon to perform actions and authorise a user before logging them in via the extension mobility API.

Extension Mobility Proxy (EMP)

Features & Benefits

Enables EM users to login with their AD attributes via Jabber, and use a simple alternative login on their desktop phone i.e EXTN / PIN

Facilitates moves to CUCM 10.5+ which demands a single login across all user devices

The system can keep track of the users’ locations and hours meaning internal property or infrastructure costs are allocated to the correct departments

Allows HR and management to track every team member in case of issues or emergencies

All logins are stored in a database which enables organisations to report and plan for office space requirements to cope with mobile users
